History

Invicta was created by Dawny and DoubleU, who were then members of Novus Orbus, and dissatisfied with the then-leadership of NO. They founded Invicta along with some other members of Novus Orbus, and a few friends from other alliances, in late May of 2007. Invicta was founded as a purple alliance (Novus Orbus had been multi-colour).

Invicta grew quite quickly, thanks to a strong recruiting drive. By the late summer, we were one of the larger alliances in the Purple Team. We were a signatory of GRAPE, which was an attempt to reduce internal tensions in Purple, and we entered the CDT on August 31st.

We merged with Novus Orbus in mid-October. After Dawny and DoubleU left, initially, relations with NO were bad, but after some time went by, the members of Novus Orbus overthrew their leadership for pretty much the same reasons as why our founders had left. After that, relations improved quickly; we signed an MDP with them, and they joined the CDT. Unfortunately, they were never able to get enough activity in their membership to keep the alliance running, and so they asked us for a merger.

We also signed the Purqua Pact near the end of October. The CDT alliance bloc counts as an MADP for purposes of treaty conflicts, but is an MDOAP. The three members of Purqua (NATO, UPN and us) were at the time of signing the three largest CDT members, and close friends. Purqua is an MADP bloc inside CDT.

Starting in mid-November, we held one of the three Purple Team senate seats.

On February 29th, along with most of the rest of the CDT and the Superfriends alliance blocs, we launched a war against the Illuminati due to their involvement in a nuclear rogue attack against Dawny, and also because of information that came to light about their scheming against the coalition fighting against the GPA.

In early March, we announced an MDOAP with the New Polar Order, our first MDP with a major non-CDT alliance, followed by an MDOAP with the New Pacific Order in early April.

We have also helped form Poseidon, an MDOAP bloc that includes all of the major alliances in Purple. As part of this treaty, Invicta shares the 3 senate seats on a rolling basis with 4 other signatory alliances. Our senator is Amonra of Sturmriech.

We cancelled our MDOAP with the New Polar Order due to our objections to actions of their then-Emperor, Electron Sponge.

During the War of the Coalition, we were called into duty against SOLID, via the Purqua MADP with NATO. We fought for some time; however, we did not sign the Coalition nuclear weapons doctrine, and neither us nor SOLID authorized nuclear weapons fire against each other. We also took part in the Legion-Vanguard conflict, along with UPN, against Vanguard. In that case, less than 24 hours after our entry, Vanguard and Legion agreed to fair terms, ending the war between them. We accepted technology reparations from SOLID, paying at a rate of 3 million dollars per 150 technology units, and received no reparations from Vanguard.

After the war, we entered into the Watling Street Compact, an MDOAP bloc with a technology trading clause, with UPN, NATO and the New Pacific Order, and signed a direct MDOAP with BAPS, now full Poseidon members.

Our IRC channel is #Invicta on Coldfront. It's quite active, feel free to stop by anytime. (Note that we don't insist people use alliance tags, so don't assume everyone in there is Invicta. However, all channel operators [but not half-operators] are Invicta government members.)

Also note that, despite our titles, we're not democratic. All government members at the rank of Minister or higher are appointed directly by the President.

A solid backgrounf for the future. May I ask why your is interested in the CT?

well, i just became personally interested in you guys after randomly happening to see your recruitment vid on youtube,
and you seemed like you would be a pretty awsome alliance, and i admired what the vid said about the truth etc,

Like i believe that alliances should always endeavour to be truthful and open, and i also believe that they should not be afraid to stand up for what is right, no matter what opposition they may face.

just wondering if you guys have any kind of policy type things on wars and stuff as well?

Our policy is like no spying, no teach raiding, no lying....

We hope to avoid war but if any of our CoMA allies is attacked we will honor our treaty as we would any treaty. We our currently purueing an additional MDAOP with the CCC and other righteous alliances.

Furthermore, i am glad for your interest in the confederacy, we do indeed exemplify the morals we stand for.

sadly, few CN players share our beliefs and we're having trouble recruiting new members...
